Doug Phillips is an award winning architect and designer with over 35 years in the design and construction industry. Doug’s approach to design considers site, regional topography, the vernacular context and the aspirations and desires of the owner. Rather than adhere to some pre-conceived set of forms that are “fashionable” for the time or an easily accessible design vocabulary, Doug is guided by the unique qualities of each situation. It has been and continues to be Doug’s desire to work with those who appreciate scale, proportion, composition, the integrity and sustainability of materials, attention to detail and the simplicity of forms, all within an economy of means.
